Rossomanno - Grottascura - Bellia reserve

The Rossomanno - Grottascura - Bellia reserve, established in 2000, covers a wide area between the towns of piazza Armerina, Enna and Valguarnera Caropepe. The territory of the reserve is rich in forests, with majority of pines and eucalyptus, it was object of a massive campaign of afforestation from the nineteenth century. The Rossomanno mount was a place much frequented by the ancient indigenous people; we have numerous testimonies of the pre-archaic period thanks to the discoveries of small tombs carved into the rock.
