The Ronza park, only 5 miles far from Piazza Armerina, is a natural reserve with a rich variety of plants and animals native and imported like boars, deers, tibetan goats, birds and fish of various species. The woods are mainly constituted by eucalyptus trees, with their characteristic and intense scent, but there are conifer and other trees too.

The Ronza park is endowed with a large parking lot, services and equipped areas for picnic, which make it the preferred destination of excursionists from many parts of Sicily, especially during holidays.

Besides woods and animals, a special mention must be done to the "pietre incantate" (enchanted stones), an area rich of naturally graven rocks that, in particular light conditions, seems to assume human shapes.
